"Classic systems with analogues of condensed matter provide an excellent tool for visualizing and analyzing these phenomena, as well as getting a deeper understanding of classical and quantum dynamics. Two classical systems that show these kinds of analogues are the Vicsek model and one dimensional array of coupled pendulum. On one hand the pendulum under certain conditions exhibit three analogues to the key condensed matter concepts of Bloch oscillations, Landau-zener transitions and topological phases. On the other hand, the vicsek model allows to analyze how phase transitions from ordered to disordered systems occur in biological systems."
