The particles pathway

We are currently facing a long-standing desert on fundamental particles discovery. This fact has been worrying the particle physics community about the importance and funding of particle physics experiments as the LHC. Moreover, the community if in the future we should concentrate in the energy or luminosity frontier. I show, from a historical and physical point of view, that this question has hardly any sense for the real purpose of research in experimental particle physics.
