  • Biophysics: Cellular and molecular mechanics, bacterial adhesion, atomic force microscopy and advanced optical microscopy..
Other research interests:
  • Education: Physics teaching, minimally invasive learning.
Current Research:
  • Mechanical and adhesion properties of bacterial pili, spectroscopy of forces applied to lipid membranes, cells and proteins. Microscopy for the measurement of ocean marine acidification effects on marine organisms and mechanical models of coral. For further project details see the biophysics group page.
