"The theoretical study of quantum correlations, in macroscopic or condensed matter systems, is my central research area. Specifically, I am working in the design of new strategies to create, manipulate and control quantum entangled states in low dimensional semiconductor systems (quantum dots, wires and wells) by using excitons, polaritons, spins and photons. Recently, these ideas are becoming useful in other systems such as superconductor quantum circuits and spin centers in diamond. An important part of my research focus on the study of decoherence processes, ultrafast response and memory phenomena in all these systems. "
