The coordination of the PhD in Science-Physics and MSc in Physics programs is done by the Director of the Doctoral and Masters, in conjunction with the Committee on Doctoral and Master Programs (also known as the Graduate Committee). This committee monitors the proper development of the graduate programs of the Department of Physics and curricula of their students. The committee comprises the Director of the Department, the Director of Doctoral and Master program, at least three Professors of the doctoral program, a student representative of the doctoral program and one student of the master's program. The committee's responsibilities include supervision of the curriculum of the programs, supervision of the graduate admissions process, coordination of knowledge testing and doctoral candidacy, evaluation of the Master’s graduation final work proposals and doctorate thesis, as well as several academic and disciplinary regimen issues such as: disciplinary cases, transfers, homologations, refunds and readmissions, authorizations, etc.
The graduate Secretary supports the work of the graduate coordination.

The coordinator is available to graduate students to assist them in the proper development of the curriculum, specifically in regard to:
- Graduation final work and thesis
- Language Requirements
- Approval of courses and courses by agreement
- Review of degree requirements
- Schedule conflicts
- Disciplinary and academic affairs
- Refunds and readmission
- Various academic affairs, advising
