"I was born in Bogotá, Colombia. I majored in Physics with a Music minor at Universidad de los Andes from where I went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Geophysics at the University of Alberta in Edmonton (AB), Canada. I worked as the MESSENGER postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Terrestrial Magnetism at the Carnegie Institution of Washington in Washington (DC), USA. Currently I am working as assistant professor at the department of Physics of Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
My research interests focus on planetary internal dynamics. The temporal evolution of planetary magnetic fields is the only direct observation of planetary deep interiors. I use numerical models to understand the internal dynamics of celestial bodies." |
