The main focus is based on the study of geology and the physics of planet Earth. In general topics of interest include: 1) Geophysics. 2) Seismology. 3) Geology. (4) Natural hazards. (5) Seismic engineering.
At this time, the studies focus on topics of seismology, specifically: 1) Physics of earthquakes. 2) Scaling of the seismic source. 3) Strong earthquake movements. 4) Analysis of seismic noise. 5) Tomography 6) Structure of sedimentary basins. (7) Seismic Monitoring.
Another focus of the group is in signal analysis: 1) Spectral estimate methods. 2) Deconvolution, coherence of signals. 3) Estimation of error, confidence intervals for real signals. 4) Time-Frequency Analysis.
